As of August 31, Railway Equipment Suning Branch has repaired over 15 million wagons during trains passing through the station, completing maintenance for 267,418 trains totaling 15,157,675 wagons, reaching a new high for the same period in history. It continues to provide strong support for the Company’s transportation artery reinforcing full efforts to win the battle of stable energy supplies during the peak summer demand.
In August, scorching heat and thunderstorm warnings posed severe challenges to the railway transportation. Taking safety as the main line and aiming to “prevent major floods, combat severe disasters and ensure smooth traffic”, the Branch focused on heat prevention and flood control. It strengthened safety management measures for production under extreme weather conditions, striving to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the transportation network for energy supply.
The Branch consistently practices the “people-oriented” development philosophy and has taken multiple measures for heatstroke prevention and cooling. It has distributed heat-relief supplies such as cooling beverages, mineral water, watermelons and ice creams to frontline workers, replenished sufficient emergency heatstroke prevention medicines in the waiting inspection rooms. In addition, the canteen has carefully prepared cooling drinks for free supply, adjusted the summer menu to ensure employees’ dietary health. Meanwhile, the duty room has strengthened coordination with the station, scientifically arranging technical inspections based on train schedules to ensure the orderly transport operations.
Furthermore, the Branch continuously strengthens emergency preparedness by optimizing and improving emergency plans, organizing and conducting emergency drills. These initiatives enable employees to be familiar with emergency procedures and enhance their ability to respond to emergencies in practice, thereby providing support for the safe and smooth operation of the railway transportation.
